Educating Pupils with additional needs or a neurodiverse experience of life.

“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”

— Ignacio Estrada

ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, are just some of additional needs we can support.

I know how difficult it can be to find information about, and support for, the specific needs of your child.

My name is Emily, and I have worked in both the mainstream and independent school sectors for many years.

I am a qualified Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator with an MA in Special Educational Needs. I have worked in Primary and Secondary schools as a Special Needs teacher, SENCO and English teacher for many years, and recently as a Senior Leader in the Independent sector.

I am passionate about helping children access education and have a 100% success rate with EHCP applications.

As a strong advocate for children with additional needs, I pursue the right of my clients to access a good and fair education. I have a particular and unique skills set to offer, and can guide families through the twists and turns of an education system which often seems at odds with the challenges faced in the daily lives of children with additional needs.

Specialist EHCP Application Service

Education Health Care Plan Consultancy

School Support Consultancy

  • EHCP Consultancy

I have successfully supported many families through the EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) process.

The process is complex and intense and the time it takes to build a plan will vary. Most schools and SENCOs do not have the time or level of experience to see families through this complicated and lengthy process.

An EHCP gives choice. It allows families and children to choose the right school or education and alleviates pressure on family finance. As Local Authorities and schools are under financial constraints, not all applications will be successful, however I have an excellent track record and I am willing to fight all the way for the families I work with.

  • Strategic Planning

Building an application for an EHCP takes time. It involves gathering and collating information to create one document that will be submitted to the Local Authority. This process is complex and I have the skills necessary to do this for your child.

As a qualified SENCO and specialist teacher I have the experience and understanding needed to help you through the process.

I will read external reports and interview you and your child (if appropriate) in order to build the application.

I will liaise with your child’s school and get the information needed for a successful application.

Once the application is submitted the 20 week clock starts and we wait for the Local Authority to respond.

Each case is unique and comes with its own particular set of challenges. There are many variables and the time required here is hard to estimate in advance. Much depends on the cooperation of other agencies and professionals.

    Preparation is key.

Your application must be informed, composed in a specific style, and qualified with the right evidence. Local Authorities will not accept any application that isn’t up to par.

  • How the Process Works

    1. Initial consultation on phone or email to discuss service – free of charge

    2. In depth meeting with parents to discuss your child and thier current needs.

    3. Analysis of all external reports and school information to create a unique application for your child.

    4. Submitting a perfectly tailored application.

5.. Following an agreement from the Local Authority for a request to assess for an EHCP, supporting families throughout the complicated process onwards.

  • Cost Effectiveness

We endeavour to achieve the best result possible within the constraints of your Borough’s tight financial constraints.

My fees are reasonable and easily recouped in terms of provision for your child once the plan is in place.
