I love to teach and see children empowered by education. My approach is fun, engaging, and skills and strategies based.

Specialising in Neurodiversity. I am an experienced SENCo and have worked in State and Independent schools as a specialist teacher and SENCO across primary and secondary. I specialise in EHCPs and guiding parents through the school system.

I am an approachable and supportive practitioner and many families seek my advice repeatedly over the many stages of thier child’s development.

I believe that all children deserve an equal education and my focus is on children who need support in their right for a good and fair education.

    I am an English teacher with 20 years experience in Private and Public School Sector, including North London Collegiate.

    I have prepared many pupils for successful entry into competitive Independent schools.

    My approach is warm, energetic and encouraging. I ensure all my pupils get a real grasp of the concepts behind figurative literature, so that their comprehension of a text is deep. I work on the creative side and the analytic side of examination questions and use real examination questions and papers to help your teen get their desired result.

    I have worked as a Head of Chemistry, Director of Studies and Acting Principal.

    My approach is fun, encouraging and skills-based. I teach by breaking down concepts, to make them memorable. I introduce appropriate examination board, past-paper questions building a path to your teen’s achievement.

    A dedicated and dynamic Tutor with experience as a Special Education Coordinator, I specialise in SEN Counselling, communication skills and English as an Additional Language, plus Catch-Up Literacy. I am also qualified to support and teach Executive Functions.

    I hold a Therapeutic Teaching Certification and continue studying in Educational Psychotherapy with the Caspari Foundation. I am also a “Paws b” children’s mindfulness teacher.

    I have over 30 years experience teaching GCSE Maths and Numeracy, and have been a GCSE maths coordinator and Functional Skills manager.

    My work has been in FE colleges and Sixth Forms teaching students who have previously failed their GCSE, or lack confidence in their maths.

    I am not a mathematician by degree, and because of this, have different teaching approaches that students who are not mathematically minded find easier to understand.

    I particularly enjoy helping pupils who struggle with the GCSE Maths curriculum.

    Based on an initial informal assessment I set up and deliver a specific, structured, cumulative and multisensory programmes to address students’ immediate and long-term needs.

    I build the self-esteem and confidence of my students, improving their ability to learn.

    Outgoing and dynamically positive, I have 18 years of experience in working in the field of SEN.

    I currently work as a private tutor, as well as peripatetic specialist teacher in independent and state schools.

    Having worked as a GCSE English Examiner for AQA, and currently working for the OCR Exam Board moderating A Level coursework, I have a deep understanding of the techniques and requirements required to score top levels.

    My approach is encouraging, incisive and gets results.

    I am a specialist teacher, with a Level 5 certificate to teach and assess those with dyslexia and Special Learning Difficulties, gained through The Helen Arkell Charity.

    I currently teach children in primary and secondary school who are dyslexic or dyscalculic, using a multi-sensory approach on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

    My passion is supporting struggling pupils to access the curriculum. I support through formal interventions within the child’s identified SEN needs.

    I hold a Certificate in Children’s Counselling from Place2Be.

    I create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment to build confidence and self-belief in their achievements.

    Receiving my PGCE qualification from UCL - Institute of Education, I specialise in Primary, and additionally, teaching children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.

    I currently work as a Year 3 teacher in a mainstream school and I am passionate about finding different ways to help children succeed in their learning. I work out how best to help your child understand, engage in, and be excited about learning, so that they grow in confidence and achieve academically and socially.

    Hannah Sands: I am a tutor, youth worker and professional theatre director.

    I have four years’ experience providing tuition in English, Maths, Latin, Religious Studies, Drama for ages 8-16; as well as leading conversational classes and interview preparation for UK and international students.

    I have a BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, and an MFA in Theatre Directing from Birkbeck University, and produce theatre work across the UK.

    I regularly work with Sevenoaks School in Kent, and with youth theatre groups, and have coached performers in-training, including at the Manchester Royal Exchange theatre and the Royal Northern College of Music. I work as a Youth Worker at Legacy Youth Centre in Croydon, leading drama sessions for young people, aged 8-12.
